Review information on how to perform an ride-along.

Ride-Along. This takes place on a public server where trainee moderators are granted permission to moderate users and handle moderator calls. Make sure they submit their requests in the main server's 'melonly' channel and notify an HR member to approve them.

• During this ride-along, you do not give hints or correct any minor mistakes until the end of the training.

• Correct all major mistakes, such as when a trainee provides false information to a player.

• If they fail the ride-along, it means they have failed the entire training program. Before informing them of their failure, remove their mod permissions.

An ride-along should last for 50 minutes, during which you will be constantly overseeing them in the vehicle and observing them when they teleport to mod calls. Your sole focus should be on watching them to ensure they are performing their job correctly.

Section 1:

To do a ride-along with a trial moderator, go to the 'RA-Request' channel and see if any are available. If they are, go to the 'trainee-chat' and ping the staff, asking if they are still available. If they are, instruct them to join the Melonly server by providing them with the join code link, which can be found in the trainer guide. After doing so, inform them to join in-game on the Sheriff or Police team and wait for you.

Hello, welcome to your ride-along. Today, I will be your trainer, so ensure you listen carefully to the information provided to you.

For our first section, we will be going over Dizzy checks.

As we are a dizzy-only server, you are required to join our Discord server to roleplay within Seattle Roleplay.

To perform a dizzy check, you can run the command :view all, and you will receive a DM on Dizzy from pufferfish.

You will be given a list of people who aren't in the Discord server. You are to teleport to each person and let them know to join the Discord server.

We have some professional formats in the bot commands channel, or you can create your own. You are required to kick users who fail to join the Discord server

Always use SPaG (spelling, punctuation, and grammar); it looks good and makes us look professional when we do so.

Ensure that you follow all traffic laws while on duty and patrolling, which includes using blinkers, stopping for traffic lights, etc.

Before teleporting to a mod scene, ensure that you pull your vehicle over, and then teleport to it.

Upon teleporting to them, ensure to let them know why you teleported to them and inform them that they can join the dizzy server at .gg/seattler

In section 3, we will be going over general information.

You are required to wear a Bloxy uniform while on duty at all times. You shouldn't have any unnecessary items on your character

We do not accept witnesses as proof; we require a provided clip to take action.

Always greet a player when responding to a mod call to maintain professionalism.

Always send reminders. They are sent within 15 minutes in the reminders channel. Ensure to send both an :h message and a :m message.

Proceed to the locker room, put on the staff uniform, and then come back here once you're done.

Now, spawn your staff vehicle. The vehicles vary and can be either a Falcon Interceptor Utility, a Falcon Interceptor Sedan, or a Bullhorn Prancer Pursuit.

Ensure to double-check if they joined by asking them what their username is and verify if it's the correct one

This ride-along will be 45 minutes long, and I will be evaluating you based on your performance and how you handle mod calls. If you have any questions, please proceed to ask them now.

Make sure to log moderations via Melonly. You should have learned how to use Melonly in the staff documentation.

Section 2:

• While they are patrolling, ensure that they perform Discord checks, which can be done by using the command ':view all.' Afterward, Pufferfish should send a direct message (DM) to you on Discord. Also, make sure to let them know that the server must have a member count of 36 or more to perform Dizzy checks.

• Ensure that you let them know how to log STSs, Game Priorities, and Priority Timers via Melonly. Walk them through each step one by one.

• Ensure that you teach them how to set reminders. According to the instructions, they should send a ':h' and ':m' message for the reminder.

We will be going over some information.

Since you are required to be in our communications server while roleplaying, we use an automatic checker system that checks for users who isn't in it.

Do not perform any actions until I say to; just listen for now.

To perform a checker check, you will do ':view all,' and then Pufferfish will send you a DM with a list of users who aren't in the communications server.

You will teleport to each user and let them know that Discord is required. The code is: .gg/seattlerp.

We have some custom formats that you can use for checking, which are found in the bot commands.

Grading for this ride along should be based on the following criteria:

• Timely performance: Evaluate how quickly they handle calls.

• Handling of calls: Assess whether they handled calls correctly and took appropriate action.

• Grammar usage: Review their use of proper grammar.

• Driving: Evaluate their driving skills and adherence to safety regulations.
